through the days

late summer

autumn

winter

spring

the ingot coloured afternoons and eves

of May

this:

this

is

Manchester United

De aap komt uit de mouw

(Dutch proverb: the monkey comes out the sleeve)

PART 14

page 136

it is here

the final day

of Erik’s first PL

season -

this Sunday -

28 May

dawns

he talked on Wednesday of ‘strategy’ needing to accompany new money supplied by any new owner

this summer (if there is a new owner);

by Thursday eve, 10pm, it was 4-1 to Man Utd versus Chelsea

and Champs footie next season was secured;

he said, after, doth did Erik, that top four in the Premier League is akin to a trophy.

would Sir Alex Ferguson EVER say this?

a less than zilcho

chance

is the answer;

so here are Fulham for the last 4.30pm KO of the term

the last game of the Prem League term;

and behind us the twinkling days of a season

wheel into the distance,

to endlessly play out in the annals;

we still have Man City, on Saturday, in the

north of London

at Wembley.

moments in between

how to enjoy these?

a coffee in the sun?

a pastry under a tree?

a pushbike adventure?

a simple ambulate around?

through the leafy lanes of Hale

thoughts of the Netherlands

thoughts of what is waiting

out there;

the dude from The Guardian hoped to catch me out

on Thursday night, post- Chelsea by quoting back to me my words a few seconds before that the transfer window will affect

next season.

of course it will.

but he doth did still say:

‘is this what will make or break it, then?’

he’s smart.

the smartest of the lot clearly.

but

not

too smart

to outdo me.

yet this brain - how he chess moves/calculates:

some of my players - Bruno and Casemiro, maybe Luke too, apart - could use a mind like the dude from The Guardian doth does display every time he

doth does address me.

foresooks.
