i dreamed i was thwarted and awoke to see how true this was

and how too the disappointment of the world

is enough to create all the universes still to be

and the sadness as well

and how

one day

a tap drips in Los Angeles

and the next

a tear falls in Melbourne

and whoever reads this

can feel the same and turn and run through the door out to the embrace of the bright new day

as i remember how

i went searching for butterflies one sunglistened morn and found a summer i never lived

as
