he was a friend of the ‘man’ who never wanted to be my ‘father’
this friend was a ‘man’ like the one who never wanted anything to do with me
and he was the ‘manager’ of an under 11 football team that played on the pitch next to Giant Axe, home of Lancaster FC,
and i was laughed at, bullied, for reasons created deep in the kidhood of these tormentors - the other lads on the ‘team’ - maybe for who i was shining out so obvious at them and, too, for having close to zero confidence and this affecting my play and i see the one time, the kids again taunting, still feel the isolation - at home the same with the father who didn’t want to be, and here at the team the father recommend me because of his friend and this friend this time joining in and PING! i laughed at the lads, laughed at the friend, and told him, ‘you should know better, you’re supposed to be the adult, a man, the manager, you know bring the team together’, and i laughed more, kept laughing, and walked off and away from that team and the man and this was not the first i discovered something in me no one can ever
