They Have Closed The Tip

the tip has closed down

out where the fields have badgers and vipera berus and bracken

and the longgrass waves yellow

and the cows take no notice

and i will see again someday

the blokes in their yellow and orangecoloured

vis-jackets

sneaking a cig

outside by the fence or stood in the grass

blowing their blue smoke into the air

arguing over some longforgotten point

the one in particular who showed an easy grin

a glint in the eye

all of us for moments caught together

as old TVs, tables, foam packaging, cardboard boxes, disused garb and etc

got thrown away
